Learn about eligibility requirements for associates and dependents to participate in United benefits. 

Am I Eligible?

Beginning January 1, 2024, non-union team members working 30 or more hours per week* are eligible for United benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days from the date of hire.
 
Eligibility for Team Members covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is defined by the CBA. Check with your local representative for information about benefits eligibility.

Free Flu Shots For All Team Members!

All United Family Team Members are welcome to attend a flu clinic or visit a store and receive a flu shot at no cost to them. For those family members who are also on a United Family medical plan, flu shots are free of charge. For anyone else, there may be a fee associated with receiving the flu vaccine.

Benefits Eligibility For Part-Time Team Members

Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employers are required to offer employees the opportunity to enroll in benefits if they meet certain qualifications. In most cases, hourly associates must work 30 or more hours per week to be eligible for United benefits.
